TALA supports Armed Forces Community

After sixteen years of sharing stories of service and sacrifice from the Armed Forces community, and two years after welcoming a military spouse into the TALA family, we know how important it is to recognise those who serve our Nation, especially during #ArmedForcesWeek.

There are many events across the UK this week where you can show your support (such as the fantastic weekend of free family activities shared in the link below), but we want to make sure that our recognition of the skills and experience of those serving in our Armed Forces extends beyond this week and, perhaps for some, even beyond their military careers.

So many of Armed Forces personnel, veterans, reservists and their families that we’ve met over the years, through our work with the National Memorial Arboretum or in our own professional and social circles, have shown incredible adaptability, dependability, resilience and integrity. All qualities that we look for in our own team.

We’re not sure how many veterans choose to pursue a career in PR after they leave the military, but we’d love to hear about your experience if you have.

With a military spouse on the team, we understand some of the challenges facing the families of those serving. The frequent house moves, the worry of having a partner in a war zone, the extra difficulties of pursuing a career, children at home or away. We believe our working practices are as flexible and as compassionate as possible.

We hope that by having signed the Armed Forces Covenant, anyone from within the Armed Forces community wanting to pursue a career in PR would consider working with us at TALA.
