The TALA International Network stretches to the furthest reaches of the planet – literally. Meet Peter Heath, our New Zealand-based communication specialist.
Peter has three decades of public relations and corporate communication expertise behind him, much of it garnered working for large public relations consultancies and clients in Europe and North America. His relationship with TALA stretches back 16 years to the first day we started trading.
Today he manages Due North PR, a small but perfectly formed full-service public relations consultancy based in New Zealand’s picturesque Bay of Islands, from where he and a network of like-minded colleagues devise, manage and implement communication and reputation management programmes for organisations spanning a wide range of sectors.
Peter has a particularly strong background in the areas of corporate communication, organisational change, issues management, community relations, and crisis and incident communication.
He particularly enjoys the ‘full service’ aspect of running a small PR consultancy in New Zealand.
“When our family took the decision to leave London and build our lives instead in the furthest, most provincial reaches of one of the most remote countries on the planet, it was clear that the nature of my work would change,” he said.
“What I had not expected was the sense of liberation that would come with going back to my roots – doing basic full-service PR work for a wide range of clients across a really diverse set of sectors. Going back to the nuts and bolts of helping worthwhile organisations and nice people create important relationships with those who matter to them.”
