A year with WorldAutoSteel

How is an effective communications strategy essential to introduce a completely new and innovative concept to an international audience?

In January, we started working with WorldAutoSteel to launch Steel E-Motive (SEM) in partnership with Ricardo plc. SEM is a fully autonomous ride-sharing vehicle concept that is made possible thanks to Advanced High-Strength Steel products and technologies.

The TALA challenge was to position WorldAutoSteel as innovative leaders in future mobility, and demonstrate how the Steel E-Motive body concepts are at the forefront of a new generation of vehicles, with steel as the sustainable choice for future mobility vehicles.

During almost 12 months of detailed stakeholder analysis, event liaison, coordinating booth design, identifying speaker and sponsor opportunities, and developing presentations, TALA’s corporate communications experts supported WorldAutoSteel at two key European industry events.

The TALA team was on the ground at this year’s Zemo20Zero and EuroCarBody’s 25th Anniversary conference, where Steel E-Motive was the first technical presentation at the conference and presented to some 500 of the world’s most experienced automotive engineers. We shared the concept with international delegates, set up 1-1 meetings with key stakeholders and facilitated the presentations, Q&A sessions and virtual reality and augmented reality demonstrations.

The team developed an extensive range of communications tools and content, from technical articles and speaker briefing materials to social content, vox pop videos and even a signature cocktail recipe!

As we come to the end of our first year working with WorldAutoSteel, we can demonstrate with confidence that Steel E-Motive’s communications strategy created an impact within the Future Mobility industry which is working together to realise a zero-emissions transport vision for the future.
