About us

From dynamic start-ups to international corporates and campaigning charities, we work with the most demanding of clients.  We guarantee strategic, senior level consultancy and our stakeholder communications programmes are designed to dovetail precisely with organisational objectives. They always deliver measurable results.

Founded in 2007, we are a small, highly experienced team drawn from journalism, marketing, international PR consultancies, political consultancies and senior corporate roles.  We work across all sectors including retail, energy, environment, construction, sport, charity and health.

Our way of working means we really ‘get under the skin’ of our clients and, while remaining objective, we become a seamless extension of their teams.

We are often asked how we got our name and what it means. Tala is a Swedish word meaning ‘to talk, to articulate, to broadcast’. Tala’s founder has Swedish heritage, of which he’s very proud, so it seemed the perfect name for his communications consultancy!

iss-logo“Tala has been retained by Inchcape Shipping Services for more than 18 months. During that time, we have built a strategic communications programme which has positioned ISS as the undisputed market leader in the maritime services sector.  It is a pleasure to work with Andrew and his team, who engage with us on a daily basis providing ISS with creative, trusted and reliable advice.”

From the start I admired Andrew’s thorough approach to communication as well as his diplomatic determination to deliver results. He has an excellent understanding of the media and always appears at ease, even faced with the most challenging of situations. He is also as comfortable dealing with senior politicians and Royalty as he is managing a class of primary school children.”
