From BBC journalist to senior PR and media consultant, Claire’s communications career spans almost 25 years and the breadth of the international business, government, and innovation landscape. This includes promoting hundreds of science and technology companies at Innovate UK, where she worked at the vanguard of the UK’s Low Carbon Vehicle revolution, and more recently, at UKRI’s Science and Technology Facilities Council. Claire joins Tala from the specialist PR consultancy she founded to support growing SMEs.

John Moorcraft

John is a public affairs and public relations consultant with more than 20 years experience working in Westminster and Whitehall. He has worked for cabinet ministers, shadow secretaries of state, party spokesmen and MPs. He has devised and implemented political campaigns for public, private and third sectors and businesses (multinationals through to micro-enterprises) to shape government policy and helped them secure both multimillion pound investments and widespread nationwide media coverage. 

Bob Walker

Media Consultant

An expert broadcaster and journalist, Bob leverages his more than 30 years of experience in the industry when helping facilitate spokesperson courses and crisis simulation exercises.  He is most often heard on BBC Radio 4, providing special reports into the flagship Today and PM programmes, and has worked with Tala on projects for over a decade.  A BBC staffer for many years, he became a freelance consultant and trainer a couple of years ago.
